The Best Autumn and Winter Residential and Day Trips at YMCA Fairthorne Manor

Residential Trips
Residential visits provide students with the best opportunity to learn and develop independence and confidence. This may be their first time away from home, making it an experience that will have a lasting impact. Autumn Residentials are just as fun as summer, with the same activities (excluding water), and the same level of fun!
A residential stay at Fairthorne Manor includes indoor or camping accommodation no matter the season, full board, instructor-led activities, and dedicated hosts to ensure the smoothest of stays. Your students could spend the week climbing, axe throwing, or enjoying other adventurous activities.
Day Trips
Get out for the day to add some fun to your autumn/winter term. You can come for a half day, or a full day of seasonal activities like team challenges, den building, campfire sessions, and orienteering. All designed to keep them active, build confidence, and make the most of the colder months.

Benefits of a YMCA School Trip
There are numerous benefits to school trips. Whether you choose to come for a residential, or just for a day, your students will make memories to last a lifetime, and will develop new skills.
- Fresh air and nature: Time outdoors, even in the colder months, can reduce stress and improve mood and focus.
- Combat the winter blues: A trip can re-energise students during the darker months and reduce burnout.
- Stay active: Physical outdoor activity sessions keep students active during the winter.

It is not too late to plan a trip for Autumn or Winter 2025, and into 2026. Get in touch using the form below - we would love to plan your school's adventure.
