Example Itineraries for our 2026 & 2027 trips
Day 1
Meet at Airport no later than to check in for your flight to Rome.
On arrival, you will be met by a local Sweet Chariot representative and escorted to your coach and transferred in to the centre of Rome. On arrival at your 3* hotel, your accommodation for the next 4 nights on a bed and breakfast basis, check in, before enjoying a free afternoon exploring your surroundings.
Day 2
This morning, after breakfast, board your coach and make your way in to the centre of the city. Once there, you will be met by your local guide for a tour of some of Rome's most iconic sights. Landmarks on the tour will include; Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and many more. After the tour, enjoy some free time for lunch (own expense) before returning to the hotel to collect your kit. Once changed and ready, board your coach for your transfer to your first set of matches of the tour: Hosted by local Rugby team After the games, enjoy some post match hospitality with your hosts. At a time to suit, you will be transferred back to your accommodation.
Day 3
After breakfast, board your coach and make your way to the original sports stadium, the Colosseum. With your pre reserved tickets, skip the queue and make your way directly in to the arena. After the tour, enjoy some lunch in the city (own expense) before transferring to your afternoon training sessions. Rugby training at suitable venue After training, re join your coach and make your way back to the hotel where the rest of the evening will be free at leisure.
Day 4
Today, after breakfast, enjoy the morning exploring the centre of Rome. After exploring this amazing city, return to your hotel and collect your kit before making your way to your final matches of the tour: Hosted by local Rugby team After the matches, enjoy some post match refreshments with your hosts. At a time to suit, return to the hotel to shower and change. This evening you are booked in to a local restaurant for your end of tour dinner.
Day 5
After breakfast, you will need to check out of your rooms and store your luggage with the concierge. You will then have the rest of the morning and early afternoon at leisure to do some last minute sightseeing or take the time to relax with a coffee and pastry. Whatever you decide to do, you will need to be ready at the hotel for your transfer to Rome's Fiumicino airport for your flight back to the UK.
