Why book PrimeVR's Ancient Egypt VR Workshop workshop for your school?

Our workshops are a great way of bringing the curriculum to life without the hassle of organising a school trip!

During the Ancient Egypt workshop, your children will 'virtually' visit and learn about the following:

- Visit the Pyramids of Giza and learn about how they might have been built
- Hover over the Great Sphinx
- Step inside a typical Egyptian tomb
- Visit the Temples of Abu Simbel and see the statue of Ramesses II

Your class will learn about how the Pyramids might have been built and why it still baffles archaeologists even today. Your pupils will also have the opportunity to see what is inside a typical Egyptian tomb!

Following on from this workshop, your pupils can produce a piece of creative writing based on their experience of helping to build the Pyramids of Giza. Our literacy bundles include lesson plans, example texts and LKS2 and UKS2 writing checklists.

Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?

green tick English

Curriculum topics available: Creative writing.

At PrimeVR, we understand how difficult it can be to inspire children with their writing. We aim to create excitement by virtually transporting pupils to Ancient Egypt! Not only will we provide your class with exciting facts about Ancient Egypt but we'll also provide them with an experience to ignite their imagination. Give VR a go and see how it helps with creative writing!

Following on from our workshop, you can download our literacy lesson pack, which encourages children to write about what they've seen in Ancient Egypt! Each lesson pack includes an instruction sheet, model text and writing checklist (relevant to LKS2 or UKS2).

green tick Egyptians

PrimeVR can bring your history topic to life by transporting your pupils back in time to Ancient Egypt! Using virtual reality headsets, we'll introduce your class to the Pyramids of Giza and how they were built, the Great Sphinx, along the River Nile and even inside an Egyptian tomb!

What activities are available during this educational workshop?

We cover the following topics using VR:

Rainforests, Space, Egyptians, Mayans, Volcanoes, Wonders of the World, Under the Sea, WW1, Polar Regions, Digestive System, Romans, Stone Age, Mountains, Americas, The Tudors, Vikings, Circulatory System, Africa, Animals, India & Beyond, Journey Across China, The Respiratory System and Around the World.

What size groups do you cater for?

trip icon

In line with government guidance, we can deliver a maximum of six workshops throughout the school day with a maximum of 15 pupils in each workshop. We bring in 16 headsets and each pupil will have their own during the workshop. Each headset will be cleaned thoroughly with anti-bacterial wipes in between each use. We recommend workshops lasting a maximum of 30 minutes.

Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

trip icon

Yes. We've worked with a number of SEN schools and the response/feedback to VR has been fantastic.
