Cardiff Glamorgan CF10 3RB
Cardiff Castle is a unique site with 2000 years of history. It was started in the 1st Century AD by the Romans who built the original fort. In the 11th century, the Normans constructed the Keep that still dominates the Castle Green. The medieval Lords of Glamorgan began work on the House during the 15th Century but it was the Bute family in the 19th Century who transformed the House into the opulent Victorian gothic home it is today.

★★★★★
We took our pupils to Cardiff Castle a couple of years ago as part of our History studies and it proved very successful. The supporting resources were good and the follow up work by the pupils suggested they took a lot from the trip.
