What activities are available during educational visits?
Rink Hire
Skate on your own patch of ice. Perfect for those schools who want to engage students and have some fun. Students' can glide on the ice and those younger students that need a little more support can make the most skate aids. Get your pupils active and on the ice at the best new ice skating venues in the UK.
Restrictions: Please note the smallest skate size we offer is child size UK 7 and largest skate size we offer is Adult UK 15. If students need support on the ice the maximum height we can provide skate aids for is 120cm and we have 20 skate aids available at the venue.
Hire is for a minimum of 1 hour.
Coached Lessons
Improve your students' balance and coordination with coached ice skating lessons that are delivered by our experienced team of British Ice Skating qualified coaches (all level 2 and above). We can break these sessions up into smaller based group activities of up to 15 students who'll follow a structured syllabus to develop skating proficiency week on week, giving new skills to show off to their friends and family at the end of term time.
Restrictions: Please note the maximum child to instructor ratio we can cater for is one instructor for every 15 students (1:15). The maximum number of instructors we can provide is three for each coached lesson.
Disco Sessions
Celebrate on the ice at the best ice skating rink in London. Whether it's breaking the ice at the start of new term or freshers week to celebrate those special school moments such as exam results or the end of term, we can flip the disco switch and turn the volume up with our special disco themed sessions, complete with lights and music.

Important Information: Please ensure your students come dressed for winter with a jacket and trousers, as the ice rinks and surrounding environment are very cold.

Physical Education School Trip

Team Building School Trip
These fantastic Ice skating sessions promote encouragement, perseverance and cooperation within the group. Students support each other while developing new skills, strengthening confidence and group connection.
What size groups do we cater for?
We can cater for large groups for Rink Hire and coaches sessions are 15 students per coach.
On-site classroom facilities?
We have 2 meetings rooms available for additional costs if required.
Is there first aid on site?
Yes all staff are First Aid trained.
Access for visitors with disabilities
Yes we can cater for disabilities, students in wheelchairs can go directly on to the Ice.

Who are Greenwich Leisure Limited?
Drawing inspiration from the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic Games, our programmes aim to motivate and engage young people through high-quality sporting experiences. Delivered by fully qualified National Governing Body (NGB) licensed coaches, our sessions are designed to build confidence, develop physical skills and encourage a lifelong love of sport.
We offer activities at a venues welcoming students across London, Hertfordshire and Essex as well as further afield, working with students in Key Stages 2 (ages 7-11), 3 (ages 12-14), and 4 (ages 14-16). Fantastic facilities, coupled with experienced and trained staff, ensure that students make the most of the sporting opportunities they take part in, whether it's a one-day experience or a multi-day experience.
For groups travelling from further afield, we can signpost to a range of local accommodation providers - from campsites to hotels - to help plan a stay that's both comfortable and convenient.
We offer a reduced price specifically catered for school bookings.
