Residential Trip Residentials South West
Stone Farm boasts an on-site lake, forest, and 100 acres of organic farmland. Every morning and evening visiting groups can help with supervised 'farm jobs' - we have rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens to collect eggs from, sheep, goats, alpacas, pigs, donkeys, ponies, baby chicks and ducklings hatching from our incubators and resident sheepdog Baloo, so there really is something for everyone! The children not only have all the fun of handling the animals but also learn the importance of caring for them by grooming, feeding and putting them away safely each evening as well. Alongside our animals the Farm also offers use of facilities such as a campfire circle, games field, games room, 'hay bale maze' and disco/barn-dance area at no additional cost.

Stone Farm offers supervised educational sessions with over 100 friendly farm animals. Your class will learn about animal habitats and behaviours and help with all aspects of their care including feeding, mucking out and grooming. Alongside the exciting and nurturing experience with our animals, we aim to help children develop an understanding of how farming fits into the wider world and experience how produce comes from farm to table. Onsite we have the vegetable garden to experience planting and harvesting, the orchard to pick fruit to make juice in our apple presses, and chickens to collect eggs from every morning. Every school will have a dedicated member of staff with them throughout the week to run your chosen activities.

Watersports School TripStone Farm is centrally situated near many activity centres which offer a range of watersports including kayaking, canoeing, raft building, sailing, windsurfing and aqua parks. We are also close to both the Cornish and Devon coastline, where schools can book stand up paddle boarding, body boarding or surfing lessons with local surf schools.
Established in 1992 by two former teachers, Stone Farm Study Centre has welcomed schools for over 30 years and we understand the educational, physical, social and emotional benefits school visits offer. We have attempted to create a Study Centre which we would want to visit ourselves and an environment in which every child can flourish and grow. We work closely with every school to ensure our on-site activities, and the excursions you choose in the local area, incorporate and complement the curriculum of each year group. Set up specifically and exclusively for primary schools, we welcome KS2 groups from across the country for 3 or 4 night visits.
