Shooting Star Entertainments
Let us bring The Wall to life in your school hall, a hilarious Roman adventure packed with action, laughter, and lessons about courage, teamwork, and communication! We can visit your school in: All UK Regions
We bring Roman Britain to life through high-quality, interactive performances that deepen historical understanding and spark curiosity about the ancient world. Our productions support curriculum learning by:
* Exploring Key Historical Themes: Students discover why the Romans invaded Britain, how they built and defended Hadrian's Wall, and what daily life was like in a Roman fort.
* Bringing History to Life Through Storytelling: Engaging characters and humorous dialogue help students understand Roman society, including social structure, slavery, citizenship, religion, and relationships with local tribes.
* Highlighting Roman Achievements: The show introduces Roman engineering, inventions, and infrastructure, from roads and aqueducts to sanitation and architecture, showing their impact on Britain.
* Developing Historical Thinking: Interactive elements and post-show discussions encourage students to question sources, challenge stereotypes, and reflect on differing cultural perspectives.
Connecting Past and Present: By exploring real locations such as Vindolanda and the lasting legacy of Hadrian's Wall, students gain insight into how the Roman Empire shaped modern Britain.
By combining live theatre with curriculum-rich storytelling, Shooting Star Entertainments transforms history from page to stage, making the Romans engaging, memorable, and meaningful for learners of all ages.
We offer Relaxed Introductions, Touch Tours, Social Stories and Makaton.
