Each workshop day includes four one-hour interactive sessions, accommodating up to 280 children. The cost is £900 per day, with additional charges for transport and accommodation depending on the school's location. Schools can utilize Sports Premium Funding to cover these expenses.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?
English Workshop
Composition Creative writing Poetry
Writing songs in a Rocktopus workshop requires good composition skills, the ability to choose vocabulary and contribute creative writing for the song. Children who might not normally contribute in class are often found speaking out and helping create the songs!
Dance Workshop
Each time we write a song with children in our workshop, we will also help them create a choreography and perform a dance performance which will be included in their very own music video! It's amazing how excited the children get about their performances!
Music Workshop
Singing Listening to Music Composing Music
These enriching workshops will give your children their 'live music experience' as specified in the national plan for music. They're packed with music, singing, rhythm creation, body percussion, electric guitar playing, drum beating and end with a musical performance where every child can pass their 'Entry Level 1 Grade' in performance, awarded by international awarding body RSL Awards!
Physical Education Workshop
Each of the 4 songs has a different PE and fitness theme. From gymnastics sequences to dance routines, cardio fitness to stretching, we do it all. The songs and videos created end up being an excellent resource which can be used in PE lessons forever more!

Yes! We've had plenty of children with disabilities in our workshops and always make time to adapt what we're doing and include them as much as possible.
Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
We run a workshop especially for special needs schools called: The Rocktopus Experience For Special Schools.
Who are Rocktopus?
We are Tom Veck and Andy Hawkings, 2 qualified primary teachers and life long rock musicians with a passion for teaching the next generation to ROCK!
Rocktopus are an award winning rock band for kids, families, schools and anyone who is young at heart! Since forming in 2015, we've taken our high energy, interactive school workshops, live shows and conference energisers to all corners of the UK.
We've created a whopping 800 original school songs and music videos, we've rocked out at Glastonbury Festival and we've energised countless national PE teacher conferences. Combining our experiences as trained primary teachers and rock stars, we are natural performers who care greatly about the well-being of the next generation.
