Jack and the Beanstalk Pantomime at the Tamworth Assembly Rooms School Trip

trip icon Teachers and Pupils alike can be transported away to a panto-land full of comedy, songs, and more panto magic than ever before in the ultimate GIANT pantomime adventure which will leave audiences members' jaws aching from all the laughing.

The Tamworth Panto prides itself in ensuring content is appropriate for all ages, ensuring everyone can leave having had the most entertaining 2 hours. Each school that visits the panto will also notice references bespoke to them woven into the script. If you've ever been to the Tamworth Panto before, 'Jack and the Beanstalk' will have everything you know and love with so much more.

Returning Panto favourite, Sam Beech who won the audience's hearts as Buttons, is back by popular demand in addition to some new panto faces plus some returning favourites. With more surprises than ever before, this inclusive pantomime is guaranteed fun for all ages!

Story writing Fairy tales Myths and Legends Heroes and villains

Throughout the Pantomime, pupils will see examples of parody, rhyme, comedy (rule of 3), retelling of a Fairy-tale, alongside a fully formed production. They will also get the chance to experience how spoken word, dialect, and emotions can all be used to help portray a character.

Our retelling of the traditional fairy tale will also show pupils how to re-tell stories, with a twist, that will engage and entertain a contemporary audience.

Pupils will be able to learn lots of skills by seeing them executed within the pantomime. These skills include, but not limited to: Acting through song, comedy, improvisation, magic, parody, clown skills, and pantomime.

They will also see how a pantomime can be pulled together, with all aspects of production including set, costume, lighting, direction, and script.

Pupils will be able to see how a production is put together and witness the final result. We also offer workshops on Pantomime Design, Writing, Directing, and Acting. The lighting design will show how lights can impact the mood of a scene and also be used for comedic effect.

This is the perfect opportunity to treat pupils to a festive trip out which they will enjoy as much as the teachers do! Pupils will get the chance to experience a British Tradition in the form of the great British pantomime which blends the magic of theatre, with Christmas magic and family entertainment.

We offer a relaxed performance. (Wednesday 14th January 2026) This is where movement around the auditorium is allowed, some effects are toned down, the volume is slightly reduced, and additional staff are on hand to assist with any needs.
