One Day Creative
One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this Fairytales workshop, your pupils will explore motifs and much-loved characters from across traditional stories. Filled with suitable fairytales for the classroom, you can pick from Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, The Three Little Pigs, Snow White or Hansel and Gretel. An ideal EYFS/KS1 Literacy workshop for schools all year round or for World Book Day.

What activities are available during this school workshop?
In this Fairytales workshop, your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. In addition, they will:

English Workshop
Story writing Fairy tales Myths and Legends Creative writing Storytelling World Book Day
This Literacy workshop for EYFS/KS1 introduces young pupils to the joys of storytelling. Using well-known, classroom-appropriate fairytales, we'll use drama activities and team work to examine the key features that make up a fairytale. Plus, we'll begin to explore the feelings and motives of the characters in these stories. Through role-play and movement, our workshops help to bring books to life and show pupils that stories don't just belong on pages!
Performing Arts
>What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Absolutely! Our method of working, using the performing arts as a vehicle for learning, is naturally inclusive so please do reach out if you'd like to have One Day in your specialist setting.
We recognise that our workshops have been designed for mainstream settings and, therefore, may not be appropriate for all specialist contexts. However, we can make some reasonable adaptations to workshops when delivering in specialist schools so that pupils can access the learning.
We'll work with you to understand your pupils' needs and offer all the information you need to make an informed choice about our services. You know your pupils best. Equally, we always work in pupils' best interests. If we don't think we can provide what your pupils need, we'll let you know.

Our workshops are ideal because we do all the hard work for you. On the day of the workshop, all we need is a large clear space to work in ' our friendly facilitator will take care of the rest! From the moment you enquire, our central office team are on hand to answer any questions, make suggestions and tailor your day to your school's needs.
