Big Art EYFS - The artwork on display, alongside the act of taking part in a scavenger hunt, invites children to think and say what it is they are seeing and experiencing, boosting their visual literacy. Pencils, crayons and chalk are readily available for children to pick up and put to paper.
Big Art KS1 - Students will listen and respond appropriately to adults and their peers and ask relevant questions to extend their understanding and knowledge. They will use relevant strategies to build their vocabulary, and articulate and justify answers, arguments and opinions and give well-structured descriptions, explanations and narratives for different purposes. Students will participate in discussions, presentations, performances, role play/improvisations and debates.
Adventures in Art KS1 - Students will be encouraged to participate in discussion about what is read to them, taking turns, and listening to what others say. There will be an opportunity to discuss and clarify the meanings of words, linking new meanings to known vocabulary. Students will have an opportunity to ask and answer questions.
Storytelling with the Greeks KS2 - Students will use discussion to learn about the artwork and artist, developing their speaking and listening skills. They will gain experience of drawing inferences from the painting-inferring characters’ feelings, thoughts and motives for their actions and how to justify these with evidence. This workshop is the perfect way to unlock the rich and varied literary heritage of Ancient Greece and Greek myths, and increase students’ familiarity with a wide range of books, including myths, legends and traditional stories.
Tour and Draw KS2 - Students will consider and evaluate different viewpoints, attending to and building on the contributions of others, as well as using standard English confidently. They will be able to give short speeches and presentations, expressing their own ideas and keeping to the point.

During the workshop we will look at the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers, describing the differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and encourage students to make links to their own work.

During the workshop they will look at the work of a range of artists, craft makers and designers, where a demonstrator will describe the differences and similarities between different practices and disciplines, and encourage students to make links to their own work.

History Through Art KS3 - Students will learn about great artists, craft makers and designers and understand the historical and cultural development of their art forms.
They will also learn about the history of art, craft, design and architecture, including periods, styles and major movements from ancient times up to the present day.
Storytelling with the Greeks KS2 - Students will explore continuity and change and compare life in Ancient Greece to the present day, as well as looking at the legacy of Greek culture on art and literature. This workshop compliments the study of Greek life and achievements and how this has influenced the Western world.
Amazing Tudor Portraits KS2 - Students can note connections, contrasts and trends over time and develop the appropriate use of historical terms. They should regularly address and sometimes devise historically valid questions about change, cause, similarity and difference, and significance. They should construct informed responses that involve thoughtful selection and organisation of relevant historical information
