What activities are available during educational visits?

Skywire: England’s longest and fastest zipwire experience! At 660m long and almost 100m high…Get a new perspective of the Eden Project as you fly over the world-famous biomes at speeds of up to 60mph. Voted one of the top 10 zip wires in the world!

Inverse - The Skywire Backwards: Maybe you’ve already flown forwards and now you want to try a different position without any protection. Maybe you can’t face looking down the wire – either way the inverse zipline is great fun and without goggles and a helmet you get a great sense of freedom.

Skytrek: Perfect for team building or just to give yourself a challenge. Tackle the obstacles on our high-ropes course and push yourself to the limit – the latest addition to Hangloose Adventure. Finish off the course with a zipwire that takes you back to the start!

Gravity: Enjoy the view from 20m high - if you can! Because before you know it, you’ll be leaving your stomach behind in a breath-taking freefall back to Earth. Ride solo or with friends on this giant cliff swing. Experience the grip of multiple g-force to the weightlessness of zero gravity within seconds.

Big-Air: Release your inner stuntman on our big airbag. With three platforms to leap from, you will start on the bottom before climbing your way up the 12m high tower before throwing yourself off the top platform on to our giant air bag.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

green tick PSHE School Trip

Teamwork and resilience

At Hangloose Adventure, PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic education) is naturally integrated into the activities, promoting essential life skills and personal development. Through teamwork-based challenges, students learn the value of cooperation, communication, and leadership.

Activities encourage resilience and perseverance as students face fears and push their comfort zones, fostering self-confidence and emotional well-being. Health and safety briefings also reinforce responsible decision-making and risk awareness. The experience of being outdoors in nature supports mindfulness, stress reduction, and a healthy, active lifestyle, helping students develop both physically and emotionally in a supportive environment.

green tick Physics School Trip

Forces

At Hangloose Adventure, students will experience the key concepts of physics through hands-on activities. From understanding forces, motion, and energy on the Zip Line and Gravity Swing, every activity demonstrates real-world applications of classroom physics. These immersive experiences allow students to observe gravitational pull, acceleration, air resistance, and more in an exciting, outdoor environment—helping teachers bring physics to life in a fun and memorable way.

green tick Team Building School Trip

Team building at Hangloose Adventure is embedded in every activity, encouraging collaboration, trust, and communication. Group challenges like the Aerial Trek, require students to strategise and support one another to achieve shared goals. Trust is built through activities like the Skywire, where peers provide encouragement and guidance. The adventurous environment fosters leadership, active listening, and a sense of unity as students celebrate their collective achievements.

What size groups do we cater for?

10-200

On-site classroom facilities?

We are able to use an area of our large reception area to use as a classroom facility

Is there first aid on site?

We always have a fully trained first aid person on site with full first aid facilities.

Access for visitors with disabilities

We will do everything we can to help anyone with limited mobility on to the activities.

Some activities are better suited to wheel chair users than other. The SkyWire our biggest attraction is accessible, although we ask that you contact us in advance.

Disability covers a wide spectrum, and we try our best to help everyone. This isn’t always possible but most of the time we believe we give people an amazing experience.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Yes we do, although we ask that you contact us in advance to discuss this.

Anything else?

We have a large sheltered indoor space in our reception area with picnic tables where children can enjoy their packed lunches. We also have a small shop where souvenirs can be purchased and a ‘snack shack’ is open during the summer months which serves toasties and smoothies. We have toilets, outdoor seating and plenty of viewing areas for spectating.

There is a small shop and café, areas to eat food and drink, a tap to top up your water bottle, toilets and viewing areas. Souvenirs can also be purchased so that pupils can take away a small memento.

Who are Hangloose Adventure?

Hangloose Adventure provides outdoor learning experiences which allows every child to develop their skills and strengths as well as providing them with an experience of a lifetime in a safe, challenging and encouraging environment.

From flying down the Skywire (England’s longest Zipwire), to practicing your balance and teamwork skills to get across the Skytrek high-ropes course, pumping the adrenaline on Gravity (our giant swing), to free falling onto a giant air bag, we have so many exciting things to offer!

Our packages can be tailored to your group's needs depending on age, group size, budget and the time you have to spend with us.

For KS2 we recommend our climbing and stunt airbag jumping package – this has been extremely popular in the past.

For KS3+ we would highly recommend a package that includes Skywire and/or Skytrek and Gravity Swing, as well as our Giant Air Bag.
