We offer a wide range of safe, secure and fun learning experiences for all ages. Led by our expert team, you and your students will get to explore the park and learn all about the environments, wildlife and heritage that The Royal Parks look after in the heart of London.Activities and courses include:

What activities are available during educational visits?
Habitats
Explore our pond and log circles to discover a wealth of wildlife in our enclosed wildlife garden. Begin to classify organisms into groups and discover who eats who!
Suitable for: KS2 Duration: 2 hours
Habitats
Explore the wilder parts of these heritage locations and discover a wealth of wildlife hiding in their nooks and crannies. We'll look at the different tree species and watch the birds with binoculars from a hiding place. If we're lucky we'll spot a sunbathing fox!

Explore the parks
A cross-curricula session of exploration looking at seasonal changes to plants and animal behaviour. We'll hunt for signs of autumn before learning how to use a compass to navigate our way through the trees. To finish, everyone will have a chance to create a piece of art using natural resources.

Wondrous weather
Become a junior meteorologist. We'll learn how to gather and record important weather data such as temperature, wind speed and direction, and rainfall. Use innovative as well as traditional equipment and record data using the correct units.

Two classes of 30 students at once.
On-site classroom facilities?
Two 30 student classrooms available. Drinking fountains, Projectors, clipboards, Gendered & accessible toilets (with hoist).
Is there first aid on site?
Yes, all learning officers fully First aid trained and enhanced DBS checked
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
The Hyde Park Learning Centre is accessible to all ages and abilities, and we run a programme of activities throughout the year for people with physical and learning disabilities. Our experienced education team are more than happy to discuss your requirements and tailor the session to your individual group.

Anything else?
We're able to offer a limited number of bursaries for schools who would otherwise be unable to get to Hyde Park due to cost and/or logistics, by providing free or discounted sessions.
Who are The Royal Parks?
The Royal Parks is the charity that supports and manages 5,000 acres of Royal parkland across London.
Connect with nature and learn about the park environment, wildlife and heritage with interactive experiences online and hands-on practical activities in Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and Brompton Cemetery.
We offer curriculum-linked sessions from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post- 16. Our expert facilitators will bring learning to life for your students!
Schools may be offered part or fully funded sessions. Bursary covers a full day of activities in the park, or equivalent. We will work with you to schedule the visits ensuring that you and your students get the most out of the opportunity.
