Explore the biodiversity and habitats in the parks. Learn how to classify organisms into groups and the food chains involved. Your students will also learn about seasonal change and natural resources.
Explore the park and its habitats, your students will explore seasonal changes to plants and animal behaviour while earning how to use a compass to navigate their way through the trees. They’ll also learn how to gather and record important weather data such as temperature, wind speed and direction, and rainfall. Use innovative as well as traditional equipment and record data using the correct units.
The Hyde Park Learning Centre is accessible to all ages and abilities, and we run a programme of activities throughout the year for people with physical and learning disabilities. Our experienced education team are more than happy to discuss your requirements and tailor the session to your individual group.
The Royal Parks is the charity that supports and manages 5,000 acres of Royal parkland across London.
Connect with nature and learn about the park environment, wildlife and heritage with interactive experiences online and hands-on practical activities in Hyde Park, Kensington Gardens, St James's Park and Brompton Cemetery.
We offer curriculum-linked sessions from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) to Post- 16. Our expert facilitators will bring learning to life for your students!
Schools may be offered part or fully funded sessions. Bursary covers a full day of activities in the park, or equivalent. We will work with you to schedule the visits ensuring that you and your students get the most out of the opportunity.
