What activities are available during educational visits?

As well as all of the activities mentioned previously, we can also look into specific requests. Just let your Account Manager know what you have in mind, and they can look at creating a programme that is bespoke to your group and your desired learning outcomes.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

green tick Biology School Trip

Plants Animals including humans Living things and habitats Ecology and environment Habitats Microbiology Life Sciences Underwater Animals and Habitats

A visit to attractions such as the National Lobster Hatching Centre, Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan, will bring biology to life for your students.

green tick Geology School Trip

Geological Processes Rocks

An excursion to Land's End and a local beach will allow students to discover more about the intriguing geology of this region. Studying the coastal cliffs, your students will learn about the igneous and metamorphic processes that formed the region's stratigraphy, as well as the uplift, weathering, and erosional processes that resulted in the dramatic coastline that we see today.

green tick Wildlife School Trip

With visits to coastal habitats, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the National Lobster Hatchery, the Blue Reef Aquarium, and the Eden Project, your students will have plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in wildlife habitats and gain an understanding of how these habitats thrive and differ from each other.

green tick Physical Geography School Trip

Environment Coasts and seaside

Whether it's studying the effects of weathering and erosion on coastlines, the effects of hot climates on tropical habitats at the Eden Project, or stopping off at Cheddar Gorge to study the effects of river erosion and glacial runoffs at the end of the last ice age, your students will have plenty of opportunities to immerse themselves in physical geography case studies.

What size groups do we cater for?

Any group size of 10 paying passengers and over can be catered for and large groups can be split across multiple coaches and hotels as required. We also offer additional free supervisory places for larger groups.

Is there first aid on site?

Our health and safety policy lays out our commitment to safety when organising our operations. This is achieved in part through our supplier audits, which are regularly completed to School Travel Forum guidelines, to make sure that our transport, hotel and excursion suppliers are in line with national safety standards and are appropriately documented. We also believe the travel insurance policy we offer is one of the best available.

Access for visitors with disabilities

With prior knowledge to booking we can arrange a tour that takes into consideration any students with disabilities.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

With prior knowledge to booking we can arrange a tour that takes into consideration any students with Special Educational Needs.

Anything else?

Whether you're just looking at options or you have something specific in mind, be sure to get in touch with your dedicated Account Manager at Equity and let them know what would make your trip perfect. We'll take into account your requirements and create a trip that is bespoke to you and meets any learning objectives that you have in mind.
