As part of the day in the outdoors the children create Stone Age art work, and look at style, themes, colours and content.
We can shape activities to suit your learning aims. Activities often include 3 from:
- Building woodland shelters
- An introduction to making fire and fire lighting
- Creating Stone Age art exploring painting / drawing implements from natural materials.
- Making Stone age tools
All activities delivered in the day link to exploring the Stone Age. Teachers and our tutors link back to the module being taught back at school.
Planned with you in advance, we can explore Prehistory, Fossils, Tools, our Ancestors, Hunter Gatherers, Survival, Ancient Artefacts, Crafts, Communities, Archaeology and so on.
Yes We certainly can. Please use the form below to let us know your group's specific SEN requirements and we will get back to you with more information on how we can tailor our learning experience for your children.
This day runs from approximately 10:30 to 14:30 and is based in our private outdoor environment to undertake practical activities using experiential learning to: -
* identify some features of the Stone Age period of history (fire, shelters, tools, art) (History)
* work together exploring what life was like for Stone Age people (PSHE)
* explore natural materials used for shelters, fires and art (Science)
* create Stone Age art work looking at stone age style, themes, colours and content.
It's just £13pp and will bring your topic to life, and allow teachers to see children working together in a different way.
