One Day is a forward-thinking creative education company, connecting children and learning with creativity and imagination. In this drama workshop, you'll join our facilitator and take a trip to one of nature's most amazing destinations: The Rainforest! Home to over half the world's plants and animals, we explore the characteristic sights, sounds and smells that make up this unique ecosystem. Plus, the dangers that threaten it.

What activities are available during this school workshop?
In this Rainy Rainforest workshop, your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. In addition, they will:
Examine the structure of the rainforest and begin to understand how the ecosystem works
Discover the locations of rainforests around the world, comparing them to other more local landscapes
Understand the impact humans have on their environment and the role we can play to protect it

During the course of the workshop day, our drama facilitator will guide your class through exploration of the animals and plants in the Amazon rainforest, and the affect deforestation has on them.

>What size groups do we cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Groups with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
