What activities are available during this educational workshop?
In this Early Islamic Civilisation workshop your class will have the opportunity to express ideas and feelings through voice, movement, role play and drama. Pupils will also:

✨ Discover what made Baghdad the most powerful city in the world at the time
✨ Investigate Mesopotamian folklore and traditional Arabic tales
Which Curriculum Subjects do you cater for?
All our workshops use drama, dance and/or movement to stimulate learning and capture children's imaginations. Our team of performing arts professionals have a range of activities up their sleeve to ensure your chosen topic is as accessible and engaging as possible for your pupils.
We also make sure to tie in key curriculum objectives linked to your chosen topic. Our extensive range of school workshops cover History, STEM, Geography, World Culture, PSHE and more.
Pupils will embark on a drama-filled journey to ancient Mesopotamia, where some of the world's earliest civilisations began. They'll learn what made this ancient metropolis so powerful and what everyday life was like in this Early Islamic Civilisation.
What size groups do you cater for?
We can deliver workshops to up to 4 classes in a school day, depending on the type of workshop and age group of the classes involved. Each session caters for a maximum of 35 children.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Absolutely! Drama is a wonderfully inclusive way for children with SEN to access learning. Please let us know of any specific needs or requirements before your day and we can adapt our sessions to fit.
