Serre Chevalier is one of the biggest ski resorts in France and Europe. Set in the Southern Alps Serre Chevalier offers over 250km of varied and un-crowded slopes to suit all ski abilities, from beginner to advanced stretched across three different valleys at altitudes of between 1200 and 2800 metres. Serre Chevalier is a fantastic location for school skiing trips with it's excellent ski schools and fast lifts or shuttle buses that connect each ski area and village. At Serre Chevalier the scenery is spectacular with trees covering two thirds of the ski area, providing stunning tree-lined runs and the resort of Serre Chevalier is full or character, with narrow cobbled streets and pretty shops lining the village's main road.
One of the best things about the resort of Serre Chevalier is its suitability to all levels of skiing ability plus the fact that it's located just 90 minutes from Grenoble airport. Snow cover is exceptionally good which is down to the north facing position of Serre Chevalier. This makes the slopes colder for longer and they tend to hold onto more snow than many of other ski resorts.
