Ackers Adventure Birmingham School Trip

trip icon School Ski Sessions

Many schools see the value of an overseas ski trip - but why not get even more benefit by learning before you go? Our ski lessons are a fantastic way for students to build confidence, skills, and enthusiasm ahead of their trip, ensuring they make the most of their time on the slopes abroad.

If a ski trip overseas isn't part of your plans, our on-site ski slope still provides excellent learning opportunities. From exploring scientific concepts such as friction and measuring speed of descent, to simply offering a fun and progressive physical activity, our sessions can easily be adapted to suit curriculum goals and student abilities.

Supporting Students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Spending time outdoors offers numerous benefits for students with special educational needs (SEN) - from building confidence and social skills to enhancing physical and emotional wellbeing.

At Ackers Adventure, we're passionate about making outdoor learning accessible, inclusive, and enriching for every student. Our experience in creating and delivering adapted outdoor activities helps SEN schools provide unique opportunities for learning, growth, and fun.

Here's how we can support SEN schools:

Safe and Inclusive Outdoor Spaces
We design and deliver outdoor sessions that ensure every student can participate safely and confidently.

Confidence and Social Development
Our team-building activities promote communication, collaboration, and self-esteem in a supportive environment.

Adapted Equipment and Activities
We provide suitable equipment and tailor sessions to meet the needs and abilities of every participant.

Sustainable and Engaging Environments
Our outdoor areas are well-maintained, accessible, and designed to inspire exploration and learning.

Collaboration with School Staff
We work closely with teachers and support staff to align our sessions with students' learning goals and curriculum outcomes.

Curriculum-Linked Outdoor Learning
We help schools develop outdoor programs that combine adventure with education - encouraging measurable progress and personal development.

By working together, we can help SEN schools unlock the potential of outdoor learning, giving students valuable opportunities to learn, grow, and thrive in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Who are Ackers Adventure?

Snowsports at Ackers Adventure

As a Snowsport England Associate Member Ski Centre, Ackers Adventure offers high-quality skiing experiences for all abilities. Our qualified instructors and coaches can take you from a complete beginner to a confident, accomplished skier - or simply provide a fun taster session if you just want to give it a go.

If your school is planning a ski trip, why not get in touch with us? We can organise ski lessons to prepare your students before they travel, or if time is limited, we're happy to coordinate with parents directly to arrange sessions for their children.

And for something a little different, try tubing down our ski slope - an exhilarating and laughter-filled activity that's perfect for groups, parties, or anyone looking for fast-paced fun on the hill!
