As an environmental education charity, giving every student the opportunity to experience outdoor learning and first-hand fieldwork is our goal.

We recognise the increasing pressures on schools, so here are the top 5 ways we are supporting teachers, schools, parents and children to benefit from fieldwork and outdoor learning opportunities this school year:

1. Free teacher taster events

We are opening our doors to teachers this autumn with a programme of free taster events at selected Field Studies Council centres. Explore the location, try out some of our favourite activities and find out more about our learning adventures on a day or overnight event.

The programme of tasters don't cost anything for teachers to attend and promise a fun learning experience where you will also discover what a Field Studies Council trip is all about.

2. Free teaching resources

Our Digital Hub Plus gives you access to a treasure trove of resources to help with teaching fieldwork topics for geography at 14-18 and biology 16-18, plus CPD sessions. It includes videos, worksheets and ArcGIS StoryMaps to develop knowledge and skills.

We are offering free access to the complete Digital Hub Plus for the 2023/2024 academic year to support teachers and schools in delivering fieldwork content.

Our website also has a number of useful reference resources for all age groups from primary to university, which are used by teachers and students undertaking fieldwork topics or outdoor learning activities.

3. Keeping prices down
