Are you thinking of booking a School trip this spring but want something a bit different? Sealyham Activity Centre can help. Fantastic residential experiences, but also much more on offer!

You offer a fantastic Residential School Trip, with a huge range of activities. Perhaps you could outline your company ethos and a typical stay at Sealyham?

We aim to provide physical and emotional challenges through the medium of outdoor activities, encouraging the development of team work, communication skills and enabling students to achieve the highest standards of which they are capable.

Students are taken through a range of land and water based activities and it's not unusual to see a huge increase in self-confidence as the week goes on in some students.

You also offer unique evening activities that take the pressure off the teachers, which I'm sure they are glad of! What sort of activities do you offer?

We provide a programme of fun outdoor evening activities such as our assault course, and nightline which will mean that by bedtime the students are ready for a good night's sleep. All run by our great team of instructors meaning that teachers don't need to organise activities to keep them occupied.

You also offer a huge range of activities outside of the more traditional residential activities. What other activities do you offer that people wouldn't expect?

We are lucky to be situated close to the spectacular Pembrokeshire coast which we use for activities such as coasteering, surfing & sea-cliff rock climbing. But we also have a 100 acre woodland estate along a river valley where we can offer bushcraft, orienteering, ropes courses and various teambuilding activities. Also canoe trips along one of our local rivers.

What activities do you run through the colder months, and which are most popular with Schools?

For those that don't want to spend too much time in the water when it's a bit colder, there are plenty of other ways to keep the students occupied that have great educational value. As well as our on-site activities we are a great base for self-taught field studies with the coast, Preseli Hills and the City of St. David's all close by.

What sort of soft skills can schools develop with an off peak season visit to Sealyham?

We encourage students to develop lively enquiring minds, powers of observation, logical thought, communication & team work. We will also help them to develop an awareness of danger and to take responsibility for their own safety and that of others, able to make informed and reasoned choices for themselves.

Can teachers run their own activities during a visit to Sealyham?

School groups don't have to participate in activities organised by Sealyham. Sealyham Mansion is also available to book for those wishing to run their own programmes. We will just provide you with warm, comfortable accommodation and keep you well fed. We can also supply transport while you are here, with our fleet of mini-buses and PSV drivers.

Do you offer any special offers for School groups?

Prices are considerably lower out of the peak season, with March, April, May and November being particularly reasonable. Every enquiry is priced individually, depending on a customer's requirements. Accompanying teachers stay free of charge.
