We sat down with Zee from Immersive Experiences to find out about the best planetariums in the UK, what makes them unique and much more!

Can you give us a brief overview of Immersive Experiences and what you do?

Immersive Experiences is the multi-award-winning provider of learning experiences across the UK's largest fleet of mobile planetariums, drones, VR and sensory rooms

Teachers are always looking for new exciting ways to teach, and the mobile planetariums look like a really fun way to cover a topic. What subjects can you cover?

We have over 200 shows in multiple languages. Our state-of-the-art multi-purpose planetariums cover a huge variety of subjects including: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Dinosaurs, History, Geography, Geology, Music, Art, Culture, Dance and miscellaneous other STEM topics

What are the benefits of booking Immersive Experiences to visit, rather than an out of school trip?

There are lots of advantages to a visit from Immersive Experiences, we have highly trained staff including teachers, astronomers, scientists and lecturers with over 100 years of combined experience. By booking us in you can avoid the hassle of a traditional out of school trip, no risk assessments and no costly coach hire!

This sounds like the ideal way to cover key curriculum subjects for schools in more remote areas. Do you cover the whole of the UK?

If you are in the UK - we come to you. We have over 20 domes and can cater for Early Years/Foundation to Key Stage 5 and Post 16.

Receiving a great educational experience at a price point they can afford is really important to teachers. How do you achieve this?

Our educational division is run as not for profit. This means that you get great staff, a wide range of subjects and great educational experiences for fantastic value for money.

You also offer free events across the UK every year, could you tell us a little about those?

We run between 10 - 20 free events every year so people can experience one of our domes, completely free!

Do you cater for SEN groups?

Yes, we are the UK's leading developer in friendly SEN/PMLD/Wheelchair, Hearing/Visually impaired shows and domes/experiences.

Outside of the mobile planetariums, you also offer a wide range of VR experiences, historical workshops and even careers advice and tutoring. Could you give us an overview of these other great unique workshops that you offer?

Our historical workshops are perfect for both indoors and especially outdoor, combining fitness and mental health wellbeing in fun activities from different eras of our history. Children can play being the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and be trained in sword fighting, archery, ancient artillery and more!

Our VR experiences cover a huge array of programs, and we have both a lovely entry level experience designed for most of our schools, as well as our Oculus Rift for those wishing to delve deeper into the world of VR technology. Whether it's space or star wars, we have the experience for you

Finally our team are well trained as private tutors and often take on students virtually to help them throughout their studies, exams as well as their mental wellbeing.
