School Trips - Krakow & Auschwitz History Trip
Adaptable Travel
Home / Trips Abroad / Krakow & Auschwitz History Trip
UNESCO listed Krakow, a beautiful, safe and medieval city has a shadow cast over it by nearby Auschwitz sites. Adaptable Travel will arrange a bespoke school trip designed to meet the needs of your group, which will incorporate a visit to the Auschwitz sites including Birkenau I and Birkenau II. This will offer your students a glimpse into this dark period of WW2, and put into context classroom learning. All tours of Auschwitz will be given by expert guides who are sympathetic to the needs of school groups, yet will help to put Auschwitz into a human context.
In addition, Adaptable Travel offer the chance to visit Oscar Schindler’s factory in Krakow and the Jewish Ghettos in Krakow on the Schindler’s Route tour. This is a great chance to discover another side of human courage during WW2, in line with the film Schindler’s List. Other sites include the Jewish Museum and on occasion we can organise meeting with Holocaust survivors or their family members to add a real human element to the learning experience.
To help put all of this learning into context, Adaptable Travel have developed ‘Project Krakow’ – a unique series of student and teacher resources that will not only help to develop students understanding of the holocaust, Auschwitz and Jewish life during WW2, but will also help students to put this into context of the wider picture of World War Two, the Nazi regime and how and why ‘the Solution’ came to be. This is built upon through real human stories from the period throughout the resources. All of these ‘Project Krakow’ resources are available for free to all groups booking a school trip to Krakow with Adaptable Travel.

Why should you consider Adaptable Travel for School Trips and Educational Visits?
In the words of one of our group leaders “It was a fantastic trip that was felt in the hearts of every pupil. Auschwitz should be a place that everyone visits, something that can't be described or explained. A necessary lesson that can't be taught”.
Auschwitz and Krakow were scenes of horror for many during World War Two. Although students interaction with this needs to be carefully managed, Adaptable Travel will help your students to understand and put into context the Holocaust. We keep costs as low as possible so it is accessible for more students, we also offer a Price Promise Guarantee, and of course you will get our unique ‘Project Krakow’ resources.
