Why should you consider Art & Design Trip to Barcelona with Equity with Equity – The School Travel People for
your next School Trip or Educational Visit?
The Catalan capital holds an extraordinary amount of influential art. Students can take advantage of this by drawing, sketching, and photographing the many iconic buildings, and taking inspiration from their surroundings.
There are many fantastic museums where schools can get close up and study the vast collections of Picasso paintings and Dalí artworks, but a walk through the streets shows the architectural gems this city has on offer.
La Sagrada Familia, Parc Güell, Casa Milà, and Casa Batlló are just some of the famous artistic attractions, but there's also the medieval Gothic Quarter, the bustling Las Ramblas, and the traditional Barceloneta district to discover in this vibrant city.

Example Itineraries
Here are some of Barcelona's finest excursions:
Casa Milà
For any Art and Design student this residential building is a must, and a walk along the roof is a breathtaking experience. One of Gaudí’s most amazing works, it’s also known as La Pedrera, or ‘stone quarry’.
Picasso Museum
Explore one of the most extensive collections of this world-famous painter and an essential reference to better understand his formative years, especially up to his Blue Period.
Parc Güell
This stunningly beautiful park is filled with Gaudí’s creativity and is one of the most famous landmarks in the city. Students can study the colourful mosaics and sweeping forms that draw visitors from all over the world.
Dali Theatre and Museum
Just North of Barcelona is Dalí's home town of Figueres and the location of this fantastical museum, devoted to his work. Typical of Dali’s style, it is a Surrealist masterpiece in itself and even contains the artists’ remains.
La Sagrada Familia
Gaudí's unfinished cathedral is one of Barcelona's most recognisable landmarks. Students will be in awe of the transept, central nave and spectacular vaulting. It’s an unmissable opportunity to see an architectural work in progress on this grand scale. There’s also spectacular views from the top over the city.
Casa Batlló
This UNESCO World Heritage site is another of Gaudí’s masterpieces. Students can tour the interior and discover the noble floor, the attic, the rooftop and the iconic chimneys.
