trip icon The Multi-Activity residential courses at our Sealyham Activity Learning Centre makes the most of the stunning Pembrokeshire location. Only 30 minutes away from some of the best beaches in the UK, your outdoor activity trip will make the most of the scenery and grant opportunities for individual development and teamwork that these locations offer.

Our superb Grade 2 listed mansion is the base for a wide range of courses and activities that will stretch visitors both physically and mentally. We make the most of the scenic Pembrokeshire coastline to offer water-based activities. We also have our own 100 acres of woodland to explore with the beautiful River Anghof running through the middle. With easy access to local crags for climbing, and the Presilli hills for mountain walking, as well as nearby lakes and rivers, a course at Sealyham offers something for everyone.

What activities are available during educational visits in 2026?

Coasteering, surfing and rock climbing take place at the coast near St. Davids. Kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddle boards and raft-making take place on our private sheltered lake. We utilise our 100 acre woodland for the high ropes course, assault course, bushcraft, orienteering, archery and team building exercises.

What size groups do we cater for?

We have accommodation for group sizes up to 110 students plus teaching staff. If your group size is larger than this, please get in contact to discuss how we can cater for you.

On-site classroom facilities?

Yes We do have the ability to provide a classroom-like environment. You can tell us your group size and any specific requirements in the form below.

Is there first aid on site?

All instructional staff have valid first aid certificates

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Yes We certainly can. Please use the form below to let us know your group's specific SEN requirements and we will get back to you with more information on how we can tailor our learning experience for your children.


Anything else?

The accommodation is dormitory style, with accompanying teachers rooms adjacent to student accommodation. Most rooms have en-suite facilities..
We provide good, healthy food with cooked breakfast, packed lunch and evening meals. All special dietary requirements can be catered for.

Who are Active Learning Centres?

At Active Learning Centres our mission is to provide personal and professional development through the creative use of adventurous and environmental activities. As part of the Active Learning Group, we are determined to support students as best we can. Through the use of the Skills Builder Framework, we promote the development of character and key skills that young people can take forward in their lives. We work sympathetically to enhance wellbeing in all our visitors, and take care of the environments our centres reside in to ensure they act as a needed retreat. We believe that people are there to be grown, nurtured and developed, and this extends to our own staff, where we concentrate on developing the same skills to make ourselves happier and more effective in our roles and lives.
