Sealyham Activity Centre School Trips
We are a privately run residential activity centre, with accommodation for up to 100 students + staff.
Sealyham is located just outside the Pembrokeshire Coast National park and our activities take place within our 100 acres of woodland or at the coast around St. Davids.
All ages from KS2 catered for and our Schools programme can be tailored to meet your needs. Stay for 1 day or up to 7, we can provide as many activities as you want.
We are a DofE Approved Activity Provider and offer expedition training and assessment in walking and canoeing.
Why are Sealyham Activity Centre great for School Trips and Educational Visits?
We believe that outdoor pursuits provides an exciting, physical medium for learning. At Sealyham there is no emphasis on doing well. Each student will achieve something – for primary children it may be coping with their first stay away home and parents. It may be learning to become an effective member of a team, or conquering that fear of heights or water.
Our instructors will spend as much time as necessary encouraging students to participate in each of the activities. However, this will never progress to coercion or force at any time as we respect the right of each student to make that final decision themselves.
Each activity programme is designed to suit the needs of the individual group. Although the same activities are on offer to every group, each session is adapted to the age and ability of the group members. Educational visits to places such as St. Davids or Pembroke can also be arranged.
Or, if you are looking for a base for your field tip, why not consider the comforts of Sealyham Mansion. Explore and study the fantastic county of Pembrokeshire and return in the evening to a warm house and good food.
What activities are available during group visits?
We offer up to three activities a day (morning, afternoon and evening sessions). Coasteering, surfing and rock climbing take place at the coast near St. Davids. We utilitse our 100 acre woodland for the high ropes course, assault course, bushcraft, orienteering, archery and team building exercises.
