Water cycles Rivers Mountains
Summit Centre is set in the middle of the south Wales valleys. We can take groups up into the mountains to explore the formations, geology and topography of the area. We can also allow groups to discover the rivers, lakes and water cycle in a mountainous region. A popular activity is our river studies adventure day where the group will follow the course of a river from its source up in the Brecon Beacons national park along its journey watching it grow and change. The group will follow the river as it goes underground learning why and where it goes. We will then end the day as the river resurfaces in waterfall country as we see its evolution into a larger flowing river. As well as a cross curricular educational day, the children will take part in gorge walking, caving and a mountain walk creating memories that will last a lifetime.
With over 20 adventure activities on offer, healthy meals and active days, residential breaks at Summit Centre promote healthy and active lifestyles for all ages and abilities. Getting children unplugged from technology and out into nature and the outdoors teaches the importance of physical education and a healthy lifestyle.

Christianity Christmas

For groups that choose, we can incorporate Christian themes into some of the activity sessions allowing children to ask questions and learn more about the Christian faith from a different perspective.
