Why book National Museum Cardiff for School Trips and Educational Visits?
You can create your own visit or let us do it for you. We offer you a range of stimulating workshops which explore parts of our collections in more detail. All workshops are linked to the National Curriculum.All our programmes support the national curriculum/cwricwlwm Cymreig, and we provide resources for teachers on our website. These include gallery packs, activity sheets, plus workshops and sessions.

Is there first aid on site?
If First Aid attention is needed please contact one of the Museum Assistants, who will then summon a trained member of staff.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Wheelchair access throughout including lifts. Four wheelchairs available on loan as well as portable stick stools. Widespread use of video and sound in exhibitions (commentary and sound effects). BSL accompanied tours are available to booked groups.
Who are National Museum Cardiff?
Although not the oldest of Amgueddfa Cymru – National Museum Wales's buildings, this is the first location of the National Museum of Wales, officially opened in 1927.
Situated in the heart of Cardiff's elegant civic centre, today it houses Wales's national archaeology, art, geology and natural history collections as well as major touring and temporary exhibitions.
Visit the National Museum & Gallery and be amazed by collections from Wales and beyond. Look and respond to paintings and sculptures or discover all about the world of animals and plants. Head back in time to when the Celts lived or travel even further into the past to when the dinosaurs ruled the earth.
