What activities are available during this school workshop?

During this educational workshop, children will take part in a fast-paced drama game to explore climate and climate change, and use improvisation to investigate natural and man-made environments. They'll step into the role of reporters in an exciting news-style role play to tackle real-world environmental challenges. The workshop also includes performing an eco-themed poem and finishing with a fun, quick-fire quiz to reinforce their learning.

Which curriculum topics do we cater for?

Wildlife

The workshop relates to wildlife by encouraging children to explore the natural world and understand the importance of protecting it. Through creative activities, they learn about the impact of human actions on animal habitats and ecosystems. Beatrice's background as a beekeeper also highlights the vital role of pollinators and biodiversity in maintaining a healthy environment.

Environmental Geography

Rainforest Sustainable living Global warming Climate change Conservation Pollution Materials and recycling Plastic pollution

This workshop supports environmental geography by exploring the relationship between people and the planet through interactive drama activities. Children examine climate change, natural and man-made environments, and real-world ecological challenges, encouraging geographical thinking. By creatively engaging with sustainability and human impact, they develop a deeper understanding of environmental responsibility.

Biology

Plants Animals including humans Ecology and environment Living things and habitats Habitats

The workshop links to biology by helping children understand ecosystems, habitats, and the role of living organisms in the environment. Through activities like exploring environmental challenges and learning about pollinators such as bees, children gain insight into biodiversity and species interdependence. It encourages awareness of how human actions affect living things and the importance of protecting natural life.

What size groups do we cater for?

We can work with up to 30 children at any one time for a minimum of 60 minutes. We offer special day rates for multiple classes and can deliver two different topics to different year groups on the same day, helping to manage tight school budgets.

Access for visitors with disabilities

Yes - the very nature of our workshops being so visual and experiential, has led to extremely positive feedback from teachers when it comes to us working with children with disabilities.

Visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Our workshops are designed to be fully inclusive, with activities that can be easily adapted to suit a wide range of needs and abilities. Our experienced actors are skilled at creating a supportive, flexible environment where every child can participate comfortably and confidently. We use an interactive approach that supports different learning styles, and we're always happy to work with teachers in advance to tailor the session to meet specific requirements.
