Manor Adventure

Manor Adventure are opening a new outdoor pursuits centre, Willersley Casle, near Matlock on the edge of Derbyshire's Peak District. With over 30 years of excellent outdoor education experience, your students will be able to experience a wide range of challenging and exciting outdoor activities.

Willersley Castle dates back to 1792 and was the home of Richard Arkwright, the famous Industrial Revolution inventor. The grounds of this beautiful estate include woodland and open fields, with The River Derwent meandering its way along 2 kilometers of the estate's southern and western boundary, providing a superb location for our popular watersports activities.

Willersley Castle joins the Manor Adventure family to provide schools with a safe and secure environment in the heart of Derbyshire, to enjoy outdoor pursuits.

What activities are available during educational visits?

Willersley Castle offers five different courses for school groups, with each course having a different learning objectives. Please fill in the form below to ask us for more information about how we can help you deliver the perfect residential for your year group!

What size groups do we cater for?

Willersley Castle is able to accommodate up to 90 students. Accommodation in dorms is available within the castle itself, or at the Mews. During the warmer months, schools can take advantage of our tented accommodation.

Is there first aid on site?

All of our Instructors at Willersley Castle hold a First Aid Certificate.

Who are Manor Adventure?

Willersley Castle is part of the Manor Adventure group of activity centres. We are located near the town of Matlock in Derbyshire. Manor Adventure will begin welcoming school groups from Easter 2022.
