Through the reimagined virtual streets of London, participants will embark on a journey to understand the causes, consequences, and resilience of a community in crisis.

The sessions are led by experienced TA Education educators who will guide staff and students through the activity allowing pupils to learn and teachers to observe.

What activities are available during this school workshop?

Guided by experienced instructors, students will learn how to build and recreate key landmarks of 17th century London using the collaborative power of Minecraft. From the iconic St. Paul's Cathedral to the narrow, winding streets lined with Tudor-style houses, participants will reconstruct historically accurate structures while gaining a deeper understanding of the architectural and cultural significance of the time.
As students delve into the historical context and events leading up to the Great Fire, they will also have the opportunity to examine the innovative fire-fighting techniques employed during those challenging days. By working together to design and implement strategies to combat the spreading virtual flames, students will learn the importance of problem-solving, critical thinking, and cooperation.
This workshop aims to spark students' curiosity and appreciation for history while igniting their creativity and technological skills. Up to 35 students can take part in each session. A member of staff is required to be present during the workshop.
