Science Presenter (part time)

Fab Science delivers educational workshops in primary schools, science holiday camps and hands on science parties for birthdays and other events. Our presenters need to be passionate about science and have the ability to make it fun and engaging for a young audience.

As the role is event-based, it is flexible to fit around other commitments. We have presenters who are working on a PhD, teaching part time, supply teaching, travelling for part of the year or just want to choose their own working days.

The job

Delivering hands on workshops in schools (with dry ice, explosions and rockets!)
Entertaining children with exciting science at birthday parties.
All equipment, lesson plans, training and scripts provided.
We cover a large area so there are some early starts to travel to schools.

Requirements

Experience of presenting and/or working with children.
An interest in science (a background in science is a bonus)
A driving licence and use of a reliable car or van (mileage paid).
Willingness to work in London, Hertfordshire, Essex and surrounding areas.
Be based within 30 miles of our office Bishop's Stortford.
Flexibility: some weeks we have lots of events, other weeks we don't.
This position is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
