What can you do to celebrate Science Week and Careers Week?

British Science Week is a ten-day extravaganza celebrating all that’s great about STEM, Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths. If you’re still looking for activities for your students, then how about looking into giving them all Immersive Experiences? Our fully-trained teachers and astronomers will help to open up the universe on every scale through our amazing 360-degree video technology inside our portable domes.
In addition to presenter-led shows, Immersive also has the widest selection of films for all levels across 15 different subjects, including Chemistry, Physics, Biology and even English! Plus, with Careers Week happening the week before Science Week, we have careers and interview practice workshops for your students as well.
Here are our top three reasons to book Immersive Experiences for Science Week:
1. The Immersive Range
We have the country’s largest fleet of inflatable domes - 23 at current count - which means that we can fit into any space. From our smallest 4m dome to 7m, 8m and beyond, we can get into rooms, halls and even outside, weather permitting! The larger the dome, the more students can get in at any one time, of course, but for those not in the dome we have other options including STEM board games, drones and Augmented Reality cards for students to enjoy.

We also cover more than just astronomy in our domes! We have films to cover all the science, geography, geology, palaentology, art, culture, design, history, music, photography, dance, film and maths, even a reduced version of Romeo and Juliet for English! Some of our films are available in multiple languages as well, including Arabic, Catalan, Chinese, English, French, German, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Spanish, Slovak, Polish, Russian, Tamil, Telugu and Turkish both with subtitles and narration.
2. The Immersive Extras
We don’t just bring domes to a school! With World Book Day also in March, we can also provide storytelling workshops for all ages. If you want live-action historical workshops to transport your students back to the World Wars, Roman or Viking times, then we can deliver that. To go back even further, we can provide a hands-on session with our incredible Campo di Cielo meteorites, which are over 4.5 billion years old!
We are also passionate about accessibility, and want to make sure that no student is left without the opportunity to access the universe. All our domes can accommodate wheelchairs, and we can provide hearing loops where needed. We are the UK’s leader in developing SEN/PMLD content, and were the first planetarium company to the Good to Go rating in 2020 for our COVID-safe measures.

3. The Immersive Difference
From the moment we arrive at a school to the end of our booking, we strive to ensure that your expectations are exceeded. It may be the excitement of the students as they enter the hall and see the dome, or as they enter the portal, or as they put their questions to our highly-trained presenters. Or it may be that we provide teacher wellbeing sessions as a complimentary extra, where members of staff are able to come into the dome and relax under the stars, watching sunsets or using our eye massagers.
We also ensure that no-one is excluded by distance, so we boast full UK coverage, as well as beyond to international schools and colleges! We can also provide our programme virtually too, beaming into your classrooms wherever you happen to be located, but still keeping our shows localised to you.
Finally, we believe in fair and transparent pricing, a very important assurance in difficult times. You can look up everything via our website, and we are keen to ensure that you are taken through the full process to your satisfaction.
