Here is an example itinerary..
Day 1: The group will begin their visit with an informative tour of the White House Visitor Center, where they can learn about the history and significance of the U.S. presidency and see exhibits related to the White House. After exploring the Visitor Center, students will have some free time to stroll around Lafayette Square or nearby areas, allowing them to absorb the atmosphere of the city and perhaps grab a snack or take photos of the iconic landmarks.
Day 2: On the second day, the group can visit the impressive Capitol Building, where they can learn about the legislative process and the history of American democracy. They will also stop at the Supreme Court, gaining insight into the judicial branch of government. Later, they will visit the National Archives Building, where they can view the original Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights.
Day 3: The third day will be dedicated to exploring some of America's most historic sites and museums. The group will take a trip to George Washington's Mount Vernon estate, where they can learn about the first President of the United States and see his historical home and grounds. Following this, they will visit the Smithsonian Institution, and museums such as the National Air and Space Museum or the National Museum of American History. In the afternoon, they will visit the Holocaust Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the history and importance of remembrance and human rights.
Day 4: The fourth day will focus on the military and defense as the group visits The Pentagon, the headquarters of the U.S. Department of Defense. This visit will include a guided tour, providing insights into the country's military operations and security. After the Pentagon, the group will have some free time to explore other nearby attractions or enjoy a leisurely walk through the city before preparing to transfer back home.
Day 5: On the final day, the group will have a relaxed morning before departing Washington, D.C. They may have a brief visit to a local park or a last-minute shopping opportunity to purchase souvenirs. The trip will conclude with the transfer back to the UK
