Example Itineraries for our 2026 trips
Day 1 Arrive in Johannesburg. Students will see their accommodation and enjoy a welcome dinner. The evening can be spent exploring the city
Day 2 begins with a visit to the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg to learn about South Africa's complex history. In the afternoon visit Cradle of Humankind, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where students can explore ancient fossils and learn about the origins of humanity.
Day 3 Travel to Pilanesberg National Park for a full day of wildlife safaris. Students will have the chance to see the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros.
Day 4 Drive to Cape Town. Students can visit Table Mountain via cable car. In the afternoon explore the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront to learn about local crafts, visit markets, and enjoy some leisure time.
Day 5 take a trip to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. The tour offers a powerful insight into South Africa's struggle for freedom. In the afternoon visit the District Six Museum to learn about the impact of apartheid on local communities
Day 6 Cape Winelands visiting towns like Stellenbosch or Franschhoek. Your students will enjoy a guided tour of vineyards to learn about wine production. The day allows for food tastings and a walk through local historic towns.
Day 7 The tour ends with a visit to Boulders Beach to see the famous African penguins where the Atlantic and Indian Oceans meet, and the Cape of Good Hope.
