Walton Firs Activity Centre School Trips
Walton Firs Activity Centre caters for both day trips and residential visitors for schools and other youth groups.
On site we are pleased to offer a range of challenging and fun instructor led activities such as crate stacking, low ropes, caving, climbing, archery and more. We additionally offer a wide range of activities which, if preferred, can be instructed by visiting group leaders - including an adventure course, orienteering, GPS navigation, tree trail and many, many more.
Accommodation is available in our dormitory style huts, or for the more adventurous we have camping grounds and modern ablutions.
All staff hold enhanced DBS clearance, and we will be very pleased to assist in developing your visit programme if required.

At Walton Firs we passionately believe that young people benefit hugely from positive experiences outside the classroom, which help them learn essential life skills and develop as individuals.
Our activities will present personal challenge, help develop confidence, improve team working and communication skills and refine problem solving abilities. And we do it all in a fun way which young people really enjoy.
Our fantastic location makes Walton Firs a brilliant location for combining more formal aspects of the curriculum (for which travel into London may be required) with an outdoor experience which will last a lifetime in the memory.
What activities are available during group visits?
Our dedicated staff will be please to assist with compiling visit programmes which meet your specific needs.
What size groups do you cater for?
Residential - 58 in dormitory style accommodation, plus 30 for those who are happy with a roll-mat on the floor. Camping - 1500 Day Visitors - 500
Do you offer on-site classroom facilities?
Our Training Hut is available as an indoor classroom, and our on-site multi-faith chapel can be used as an outdoor classroom if required.
Is there first aid on site?
All our instructors are First Aid trained.
Do you offer access for visitors with disabilities?
Yes - disabled facilities are available and we will make every effort to include disabled people in our activities to the limit of safety and their individual ability. Please make our staff aware of limitations when booking.
Do you cater for visitors with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?
Yes. Please make our staff aware of any Special educational Needs when booking to enable us to alter the staff ratios if required.
