Business WorkshopDuring our Business Skills workshop, students delve into various aspects of a business including Finance, Human Resources and Marketing to discover what it takes to run a successful company. This is accompanied by Nath sharing his own experience of creating and selling successful businesses.
The workshop is designed to inspire and motivate students who may wish to create a business in the future, however, it can be beneficial in many other ways such as managing finances.
In the past, we have delivered this workshop as part of an 'options' drop down day for Year 11.
PSHE Workshop Click to read full text Our Anti Bullying, Knife Crime, Mental Health and Self Esteem workshops have been designed to boost pupils confidence and promote vital understanding of these subject areas. These PSHE workshops are particularly useful in increasing pupils awareness of bullying, knife crime, mental health issues and the impact of low self esteem.
Within our Anti Bullying workshop, we unravel the reasons why bullying occurs, what the triggers could be for the bully. Pupils then learn coping strategies through interactive activities that can then be used if they were to experience bullying themselves. This is coupled with Naths personal experience of bullying.
Our Mental Health workshops addresses the increasing need for awareness of such subject and how it can, not only impact on a pupils studies but also personal life. We explore the benefits of practicing positive affirmations amongst other strategies in order to improve ones Mental Health. Again, this is coupled with Naths personal experience of Mental Health issues during university.
During our Knife Crime workshops, we go beyond the laws and explore the impact that committing such offence can have upon an individual plus why peer pressure and psychology can influence ones decision.
During our Self Esteem workshops, we investigate the reasons why low Self Esteem occurs and is a very common issue within and outside the school environment. Pupils then learn how to turn this on its head (with the help of Naths personal experience) and subsequently boosting confidence empowering individuals to achieve their ambitions.
