GCSE Astronomy Workshop

Creative Spaces

School Workshop

trip icon Our GCSE Astronomy Show is ideal for KS3, KS4, and anyone studying GCSE-level Astronomy and Space Physics as part of a Physics or Triple Science course. We support schools, home educators, and learning centres that find teaching space modules a challenge.

We can simulate the formation of the Solar System and its place within the Galaxy. We can also explain redshift and the expanding Universe. Using examples of visible nebulae, we can show the life cycle of stars. These are all topics that are covered by the AQA and Edexcel exam boards.

If you have a small group of students studying GCSE Astronomy, we can run two modules (one per exam paper). This would cover all topics from Planet Earth to Cosmology. This would be an excellent revision day to consolidate learning throughout the course.

Creative Space is a not-for-profit organisation that provides astronomy outreach and public engagement to all ages and abilities. We offer a variety of activities, including informal talks, interactive workshops, and virtual planetarium shows. We also run an Astronomy School, which offers evening and weekend courses for anyone interested in space, from complete beginners to experienced observers.

We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to learn about space, and we are committed to providing high-quality educational experiences that are both fun and informative. Our team of passionate educators is dedicated to inspiring a love of space science in our community.

We are proud to have been a part of the Hastings community for over 10 years. We are grateful for the support of our members, volunteers, and donors. Together, we are making a difference in the lives of children and adults alike by sharing our passion for space.
