Mathematics Workshop

Immersive Experiences

School Workshop

trip icon Fractals!

- Fractals are never-ending patterns representing algebraic equations. When animated and projected in 360° they take audiences on dazzling journeys in and out of infinity.

- All ages will love the dramatic immersive experience of zooming into patterns smaller than atoms or bigger than the Universe!

A Way to Infinity

- What exactly is 'infinity'? Is anything truly infinite? Is the Universe infinite? Either way, how do we investigate infinity and arrive at an answer?

- Infinity can be surprisingly close eg. it's hidden in a circle, which can be orbited forever, even though the circle itself is limited. Yet infinity was discovered on a number line.

- If there are stars in every direction of sky, then why is the night sky not full of light?

- Absolute infinity is a useful abstraction without which modern mathematics could not exist.

Chaos and Order

- Can mathematics be displayed in colour? Can it be represented with sound?

- Structured into four movements - geometric forms, algorithms, simulations and chaos theory - this unique 360° film explores breathtaking animated visuals of unprecedented beauty in the varied realm of mathematics.

- Experience the fundamental link between reality and mathematics, as science and art are fused together in an immersive celebration of the one language of our Universe.

- With no narration and purely with visuals and music, the film takes audiences on a journey into a fascinating world of sensuous, ever-evolving images with symphonic-electronic music.
