From capybara to parrots, Hobbledown Heath is home to a wide collection of farm and zoo animals. All are housed in unique, spacious enclosures with runs, tunnels, and bridges which encourage natural behaviours while also giving our guests the chance to come face-to-face with our animals – and giving our animals the chance to come face-to-face with you! We offer a range of Interactive Animal Learning Experiences suitable for Early Stage, KS 1&2. Ranging from a meet and greet with a farm animal with an qualified animal keeper to discussing habitats, adaptations, identification and features. These lesson allow students to get up close to animals and learn about specific features of the animal and how these suit their specific lifestyles and habitats. They can also learn more about how to define movement, animal Locomotion & adaptation.

We offer curated guided talks around the different animal walkthroughs we have examining the different types of animal species we have and their habitats.
Led by one of our expert animal team members, learners will meet face-to-face with some of our "shaggier" animal residents, and explore how animals adapt to their climate.
