SES Water
Edenbridge TN8 7PL
This trip is open to all schools, for Key Stage 2 pupils and above.Water is a vital, limited resource that cycles through the Earth in various forms. We cannot create new water, and with climate change and population growth increasing demand, our water resources are under growing pressure. Our education program inspires positive change by showing how small lifestyle adjustments can make a big impact. Through initiatives like the Flow Zone Education Centre and school talks, we teach simple habits such as taking shorter showers and turning off taps while brushing your teeth. These actions conserve water, help combat climate change, and protect future water supplies. Visitors also learn about the connection between water use and energy. Treating, delivering, and heating water requires significant energy, so reducing water usage also reduces climate impact. At the Flow Zone, visitors experience a free, interactive journey. They walk along the dam wall to view the reservoir, learn how water from the River Eden is treated for safe drinking, and explore hands-on activities in the "Blue Zone" to reinforce their learning.

Human Geography School TripWater is a natural resource on which all life depends. We consider the problems of supply and demand and the impact human activity can have on the environment.
Physical Geography School TripWe explore how the water cycle, rivers and even the rocks below our feet are important to the supply of drinking water and how water abstraction can damage the environment.
Environmental Geography School TripWe explore the links between water, energy use and climate change and consider how we can learn to live more sustainably by reducing the amount of water we each use.
