Radio was the key broadcast medium during the world wars. Pupils will gain an understanding and insight into how audiences felt hearing news of events during the war. They'll also lock in the knowledge of key events by writing, performing and recording radio news bulletins or creating radio plays of moments from the world wars.Yes We certainly can. Please use the form below to let us know your group's specific SEN requirements and we will get back to you with more information on how we can tailor our learning experience for your children.
RadioActive was formed by experienced radio presenters, Jo & Ed, who met while presenting a breakfast radio show together.
Ed is a certified corporate trainer and public speaker with over 20 years of experience presenting for BBC and commercial radio stations across the country.
Jo has worked in schools with theatre in education and has experience as a stage and television actress while presenting on the radio for the last 15 years.
We created RadioActive to share the storytelling skills and techniques we have learnt through radio. You could be the smartest person in the room, but if you can’t get your message across clearly, confidently and interestingly, you may be a bit lost.
Our courses are structured so pupils gain an understanding of how radio is made by creating their own audio. Pupils get to create radio shows, adverts, news bulletins, and radio plays, the possibilities are endless!
