At Adaptable Travel, we work closely with group leaders to create the perfect bespoke itinerary for each group. Below is an example of popular itinerary visits for Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
Day 1:
On arrival at Naples airport, you will board the coach, where you will head to your accommodation. Enroute you may have the chance to visit Naples, where you can visit the Underground Cisterns and enjoy a guided tour of Naples. Once you arrive at your accommodation you will check in and enjoy an evening meal.
Day 2:
Today your group will uncover the might and power of Mount Vesuvius, as you pay a visit to the volcano itself. This site is classed as one of the most potentially dangerous active volcanos and students can learn about the geographical occurrences which lead to its formation and its destructive history of eruptions. After a visit to Mount Vesuvius itself, students will then visit one of the sites of its most famous eruption, Pompeii. Groups will spend the afternoon exploring the streets and buildings of historic Pompeii, which were preserved in time under volcanic rock and hardened lava for decades. You will finish off the day by returning to your accommodation for your evening meal.
Day 3:
Today your students will explore plate tectonics even further. Your group will visit Capei Flegrei National Park (Phlegraean Fields), a 15km wide caldera and volcanic system. During this visit, students will be able to view an array of volcanic features, such as the Solfatara fumarolic field and Monte Nuovo caldera. As with yesterday, your students will then be able to put their new knowledge into perspective by viewing another significant site of the 79AD eruption; Herculaneum. Your day will end with an evening meal in your hotel.
Day 4:
Depending on your flight times, you may have some free time before your departure home.
