Example Itineraries
DAY 1: Arrival
Fly to San Francisco where a guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in San Francisco. In the evening you will have free time.
DAY 2: Founding of the Silicon Valley (Full day Coach hire with GUIDE)
Meet your coach and guide and head to Silicon Valley for sightseeing with guide. Within your day you will visit Stanford University, where Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and many more crafted their trade. Then head to the HP Garage, noted as the first tech startup in the Silicon Valley. After this visit the Computer History Museum, widely regarded as the best in the world. If you choose, you can then visit the intel Museum before transfering back to San Francisco.
DAY 3: Apple. Goolge and NASA (Full Day Coach hire with GUIDE)
Today you will visit NASA’s Ames Research Center, home to many space missions and even moon rock. Also visit the nearby Googleplex (Google headquarters) - please note you cannot access the headquarters, but can usually walk around some of the campus. In the afternoon you will head over to Apple, to see where it was founded in Steve Jobs parents garage. You will then driveby the Apple Infinite Loop original headquarters, before heading onto the newly constructed $5bn Apple Campus 2, due for completion in 2017. Here there is an $80milion visitor centre giving rooftop views over into the glass class, circular headquarters. We then recommend you travel onto the Tech Museum of Innovation before returning to San Francisco. On your return journey it is possible to driveby some of the world's largest tech company HQs including eBay, Linkedin, Adobe and more.
DAY 4: San Francisco day
Today you can visit many of the science and other popular sites in San Francisco including Exploratorium and the California Academy of Sciences.
DAY 5: Free time in San Francisco & Alcatraz tour
Today you have a free day to explore San Francisco. Visit to the infamous Alcatraz prison for an opportunity to experience the legendary island that was a civil war fort, then military prison before becoming a federal prison.
DAY 6: San Francisco free time and departure
Check out of the hotel and enjoy some free time for your own programme in San Francisco. (You can leave luggage at your hotel).
Meet your coach and transfer to San Francisco airport for your return flight home.
DAY 7:
Arrive back in the UK.
