A wealth of amazing opportunities for cross-curricular school tours to Normandy and easy access ensure that the Calvados region of Normandy remains our most popular destination for schools. Key Stages 2 and 3 are well catered for in terms of language, cultural, historic, geographic and scientific interest.
The area contains many wonderful historical sites relating to William the Conqueror and medieval history, as well as to World War II. The Muse de La Paix in Caen is a modern museum which examines 20th century history from the Second World War to the Cold War and includes present day conflicts. Students are actively encouraged to consider their role in contributing towards world peace.
Experience the region's culture with visits to local producers including bakeries, oyster farms, goat farms, and biscuit makers. Most groups also find the time to sample locally produced Camembert, mussels, cider or sweets!
