Explore AFRICA: Ghana, Kenya, Madagascar and beyond School Trips

TRU Experience Travel

trip icon Our range of programmes in AFRICA provides students with opportunities to learn languages, learn new skills, and all the while, giving a little something back to the communities that they spend time with.

Africa hosts such a rich variety of terrains, cultures and history - it's hard to choose where to go! That's why we pack so much into our trips, that you'll find a little bit of everything for even the most difficult to please! Here is a selection of some of the activities that each country has in store for you:

UGANDA

Learn what life is like for Ugandan farmers, as you help out at a small farm, caring for crops and animals. In your free time, you can explore africa the area with your friends, and get to know locals, learning a little Swahili throughout your time here.

GHANA

Help local communities to build and restore communal buildings, adding your creative flair to schools and parks - or help out a local kindergarten, teaching young children basic English as you learn about their language, local culture, and, of course, delicious Ghanaian cuisine!

KENYA

Budding eco-warriors welcome! Help to make a difference in the local community by planting seedlings and tending young plants, as you talk with Kenyan volunteers and learn about the environment. There are also national parks, and fun wildlife activities, galore here!

SOUTH AFRICA

Cheetah conservation is a highlight of our trips here, but you can also visit penguin colonies, head up Table Mountain, or visit the many wildlife reserves that South offers.

MADAGASCAR

Help save the mangrove forests, which help to sustain the local environment - and take in some cool treks along the way, past waterfalls, rivers and through dense, rich jungles.

CAPE VERDE

Spend time as a Loggerhead Sea Turtle Conservationist, taking care of this endangered species ...or take off on an action-packed adventure through Cape Verde's valleys, mountains and forests, spotting local wildlife along the way.

TANZANIA

Dance and sing with the Maasai Tribe, lose yourself in the maze-like Stone Town, or glimpse the turtles of Prison Island before settling down on the beach for the evening,

TRU provide a great range of exciting expeditions to enable students to step out of their comfort zone and experience new and thrilling activities with their friends, as they discover, through jungles and rivers, up mountains and down waterfalls - all that AFRICA has to offer.
