Why should you consider Kings Language Academy for School Trips and Educational Visits?

Is Valencia worth visiting for your next educational, sport or musical visit?

We are asked this question a lot. Valencia is not the first place that crosses the mind for an educational or sports trip. When thinking about a trip to Spain, the most popular places tend to be busy Barcelona, cosmopolitan Madrid or even University cities like Salamanca. Valencia seems to be rather unknown. We can assure you that Valencia will turn out to be one of the biggest educational or sport travel surprises you’ve ever had!

Here are the top 10 reasons why you should plan your next trip to explore this hidden educational, sporting and musical gem with Live The Dream!

1. Fantastic for its historical value

Valencia is a 2,000-year-old city, one of Spain’s oldest. It has a compact old town centre which is really stunning, its full of impressive buildings, fantastic historic sights, traditional plazas, lovely gardens, interesting museums, charming narrow cobble-stoned streets and of course great shopping!! The Historic Centre is a spectacular mix of Muslim, Christian and of course Roman civilizations.

2. Brillant for sports tours

Valencia boasts modern, newly-built football, rugby and hockey pitches, state-of-the-art sports centres, and excellent watersport facilities such as surfing, SUP, and sailing. For sports teams, we can arrange games and fixtures on request.

3. Exceedingly good for band visits

Discover The "Palau de la Música", the Palace of Music in Valencia. Its a concert, cinema, arts, and an exhibition hall. For band tours, we can arrange concerts with local bands on request.

4. The colourful World-famous Las Fallas festival

The cities fabulous festival of art, fire, food and music is now officially part of UNESCO’s Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

If you come in March, you will be treated to a whole range of spectacular and colourful experiences.

5. Space Age Architecture

The futuristic City of Arts and Sciences museum which featured in the Hollywood film Tomorrowland, is an unbelievable structure to experience. This is truly a millennium educational visit. Valencia offers a fantastic educational contrast of baroque, gothic and traditional living side by side with the space age architecture.

6. Bioparc Zoo and the Oceanografic aquarium

Contrary to traditional zoos, the Bioparc has the unique feature of bringing the visitor totally into the habitat of the animals. The place is fantastic for educational groups. The concept is known as zoo immersion. Its achieved by not using cages and railings that are common in many traditional zoos, using instead ponds, streams, rivers and rocky areas to separate visitors from the animals. The Oceanografic is the largest aquarium in Europe with an award winning infrastructure.

7. The Culture and traditions

Valencia is packed with theatres, art galleries, and museums. The region is passionate about promoting Valencian culture, and there are constant art projects, cultural events and festivals throughout the year. Valencia considers itself as a region within a region, and its held onto its own unique traditions, which are still very much alive and kicking, even in this modern 21st century.

8. Delicious Food

Valencia is world-famous for being the original birthplace of paella, and here you can enjoy many different versions of this authentic dish. Valencia also produces the majority of oranges in Spain, so much so that the region has attracted the name "The Orchard of Spain".

9. Brilliant beaches

Valencia is a beach city. Just 15 minutes away from the centre of Valencia, you'll find the famous beach of Malvarrosa – a Blue Flag beach that has been awarded certifications such as the Q for Tourist Quality. The area is also home to the America's Cup port and Formula 1 circuit.

10. Fantastic weather

Valencia boasts arguably the best weather in Spain, with over 300 days of sunshine a year with temperatures that normally range between 30 degrees in August to a pleasant 15 degrees in January. This gorgeous Mediterranean climate makes walking around visiting attractions a pure pleasure.
