School Trips - Cyprus Geography (Explore the crossroads of the world)
The Youth Development Agency
We have been running experiential learning trips to Cyprus since 2004. We are a group of educators, both teachers and youth workers that wanted to make a difference and develop great learning outside of the classroom. We now have bases in places like Cyprus, Nepal, Italy, France, Oman, the United States and Malta.
We know that great experiential programmes can ignite that fire for a subject that few other learning environments can and we want to share this with as many schools, teachers and students as we can.
Why should you consider The Youth Development Agency for School Trips and Educational Visits?
Cyprus - at the cross roads of the Mediterranean offers a fantastic opportunity for Geography and Biology study.
For geography, Cyprus boasts some of the best examples of Ophiolite formations anywhere in the world. Frequently use by universities to study geology. With great coastlines, soaring mountains and the only divided capital city in the world it provides a great range of activities that can enhance any level of study. From Coastal systems, hydrology and asbestos mines to the human impact of mass tourism and the internal displacement of people. Cyprus really does have a huge amount to offer.
Schools also come to explore the biology and ecology of the island, with a large variety of flora and fauna, many indigenous to the island. Cyprus also boasts nesting sites for both Green and Mediterranean LoggerHead Turtles. River and coastal systems can be explored along with farming and agriculture.
