Visit Europe's First Whale Heritage Site
Learn about Europe’s first Whale Heritage Site, and how comprehensive photo identification catalogues are being used to monitor cetacean populations. You will learn how to conduct species identification, and capture your own sightings.

Ethical Cetacean Monitoring
You’ll learn additional insights on animal behaviours, how to engage ethically with marine life, and the ethical practices for monitoring cetacean populations. Apply what you’ve learnt by going out to do cetacean data collection and inputting data into a conservation database.
You will also go out on an inflatable motorboat to continue conducting cetacean data collection. Taking part in a fin identification process, you'll capture behaviour and the number of species and juveniles you've seen. Once you're back at base you'll input the data into a local database.
