Example Itineraries for our 2026 & 2027 trips

We will customize all itineraries to align with your specific Learning Objectives or Curriculum studies.

Day 1: Commence your journey by flying from a UK Airport to Berlin-Schoenefeld. Upon arrival, your group will be transferred by coach to the designated hotel for check-in. Depending on the arrival time, we can arrange optional afternoon visits. Later in the day, the group will enjoy a leisurely stroll to the Reichstag, which remains open until midnight for the last admission. The day concludes with dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Start the day with breakfast at the hotel. A coach will then transport your group to the Wannsee Conference Villa for a morning visit. In the afternoon, you will explore the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum with knowledgeable guides, allowing for an in-depth experience lasting two to three hours. Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by a leisurely stroll to Potzdammer Platz, with more details provided in the suggestions.

Day 3: After breakfast at the hotel, your group will embark on a guided tour, with a coach pick-up outside the hostel. Highlights include a visit to Centrum Judaicum and an opportunity for lunch at one of the nearby restaurants or bistros near the Synagogue. The afternoon agenda features a visit to the Topography of Terror and an enlightening guided sightseeing tour of Berlin, including a stop at the Olympic Stadium. The day concludes with dinner at the hotel, and for those interested, there is an option to book a bowling session.

Day 4: Enjoy a final breakfast at the hotel before checking out. The day's itinerary includes a visit to Cecilienhof, where the historic Potsdam Conference took place from 17 July to 2 August 1945. Following this visit, explore the Holland Quarter in Potsdam, where lunch can be obtained. Conclude your journey with a comfortable transfer to the airport and a flight from Berlin-Schoenefeld to a UK Airport.

Please note that exclusive Teachers' Guides and Student Notes are available to enhance the educational aspects of these themes. Additionally, it is also possible to arrange travel to Berlin by coach if preferred.

Who are Battlefield and History Tours?

Battlefield and History Tours constitute a highly specialized segment of our services, offered both independently and as an integral part of Rondo Travel. The current director overseeing this division possesses an extensive background of more than 15 years, specializing in historical tours. Our tours are designed with a primary emphasis on historical exploration and often include expert guides who accompany the group.

We have the capability to arrange tours to virtually any destination of your choice, and our team includes dedicated experts who can assist with research as needed. Our offerings encompass a wide range of historical topics, including Holocaust survivor talks, the Last Post Ceremony, visits to concentration camps, and opportunities for dressing up and reenactment experiences.

One of the focal points of our historical tours is Berlin, a city of immense historical significance. Berlin played a central role in the rise of National Socialism and the subsequent subjugation of much of Europe under the leadership of Adolf Hitler. Our tours primarily focus on two key historical periods: 'The Third Reich,' which marked Hitler's 12-year rule from 1933 onwards, and 'The Cold War,' which began in 1945 after the Allied victory over Nazi Germany, ultimately resulting in the construction of the infamous Berlin Wall in 1961.

Berlin serves as a vital destination for students and enthusiasts studying the Second World War, the Cold War, and history in general.

In 'The Third Reich' tours, we offer visits to significant sites such as the New Synagogue, the 'Topography of Terror,' the House of the Wannsee Conference Centre, the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, the Olympic Stadium, Plotzensee Memorial Centre (a former execution site), the Holocaust Memorial, the Reichstag, the Soviet War Memorial, and the G Air Ministry Building.

For 'The Cold War' enthusiasts, our tours include visits to Schloss Cecilienhof in Potsdam, where the Potsdam Conference was held in 1945, the Allied Museum, which narrates the story of the Allied Occupation of Berlin from 1945 to 1994, the Checkpoint Charlie Museum, the Berlin Wall Memorial and Museum, the Stasi Headquarters, Glienicke Bridge (known for spy exchanges between East and West), and the Marienfelde Refugee Centre, which recounts the experiences of German refugees fleeing from East to West.

With our expertise and meticulously curated itineraries, we provide an enriching and educational historical experience for all who embark on our Battlefield and History Tours.
